Spirit of Winter WIP 2

WIP #2 of an unknown number of updates
I would strongly consider holding all favorites because this will be constantly changing and being deleted.

Posting another update now because classes are starting again soon and I will inevitably run out of free time to work on this any more.

WORK ON THE NECK COMMENCES!

for the amount that got done, this took a crazy amount of time. I only finished the head and horn things and started on the neck and it took me like 6 hours just because i'm being crazy about it. I made larger the canvas, so I could include the body, and made the dragon perching on and invisible rocky ledge.

The horns are my favorite part so far. I really like how they turned out. I tried to make the ice look as if the older and more ancient ice was near the bottom, and the more newly formed, more "crystally" looking ice near the points. I don't know if I was completely successful, but I'll manage if i'm not happy with it in a couple days time.

The pose is definitely under construction, and I got rid of the idea of it being a wyvern, because I didn't want it to look unbalanced(?) but, again, hopefully all will be worked out in a few days time.

phew. okay. Thanks for reading this far. I really appreciate it. I'm trying to make this a step above from what I usually do, and actually go through with the execution instead of it stopping halfway through and gathering dust. SO, enjoy the finished bits... i guess. x)
